Literacy Evaluations & Action Plans

I offer parents a clear picture of how their child is performing through a comprehensive Literacy Evaluation and Action Plan tailored for student success. Parents receive a report that outlines how their child performed on all administered assessments such as the WADE, Fountas and Pinnell Reading Assessments, NY State Writing Assessments, and Spelling Inventories. The report outlines an Action Plan for the parents to bring to teachers and tutors. In many cases, parents themselves are able to carry out the Action Plan.

PLAN 1

Single Literacy Evaluations and Action Plans are available at any point in the year and use several literacy assessments to provide a comprehensive view of your child. An Action Plan explaining the results and next steps is provided. Parents may also request a hard copy of the administered assessments. 

PLAN 2

Yearlong Literacy Evaluation and Actions Plans are available in packages of 2 and 3 evaluations per NYC DOE calendar year. These can coincide with your child's parent teacher conference schedule, IEP schedule, or promotion in doubt meeting. 

*Preference in scheduling with these packages. 

PLAN 3

Summer Evaluations and Action Plans are Evaluations with Action Plans in abridged formats to maximize summer growth and avoid the slide. 

PLAN 4

Phone/Zoom Consultations are available to discuss concerns, questions, teachers' notes, and Action Plans. 

*This is often used after initial evaluations as follow-up appointments. 

PLAN 5

In-Person School Meetings/Parent Advocate/Legal Hearings are available to convey Evaluation findings, describe present levels of performance and the prescribed Action Plan. 

PLAN 6

Preschool, Daycare, and Co-op Setting Evaluations are available to assess groups of young aged children where formal assessments are not yet standard practice, but may serve as markers for accelerated or remedial work.

Monday- Sunday by appointment, via Zoom or in person.

Fee Schedule

Typical assessment time is 3 hours which can be done in one or two sessions depending on the student. 

50% of payment due at the first session.

50% of payment due before Final Report (within 2 weeks).

*Reports will be emailed unless a hard copy is requested. 

*Cancellations with less than 24 hours will be charged at the consultation fee of $150
